About Us

Cabinetworks was founded in 1994 by world renowned mountaineer, skydiver and master cabinetmaker, Andy de Klerk. Andy spent 10 years living and working in Seattle in the USA, where his work was strongly influenced by Eastern design principles. His work has featured in design and furniture publications worldwide.

Cabinetworks operates from a fully equipped woodworking facility in Kommetjie, not far from Cape Point.

 

Work Ethos

To manufacture renewable products that promote a sustainable approach to modern living complemented by an eastern design aesthetic. Our furniture and kitchens celebrate the beauty of the natural world while hinting at the hand of man that shaped them.

We are committed to creating beautiful products that are durable and functional, and which are imbued with measured restraint and an essential simplicity.
